Well, I have some good news and bad news for Rugrats fans. The good news is that a live-action/CGI hybrid movie is in the works. The bad news is that this concept alone will surely haunt our dreams, right?

Disney’s been remaking their animated classics into live action and CGI hybrids for years. Soon an iconic Nickelodeon series will receive similar treatment. A live action/CGI hybrid feature starring the “Rugrats” is in development according to a report from Deadline.

From Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore, the new feature adaptation of the Nineties show about the day-to-day lives of a group of toddlers will reportedly see the characters in a CGI hybrid form (similar to the titular bear in the Paddington film series).
