Not every All-Star exclusion is an All-Star snub. Such is the case with Phillies lefties Cristopher Sánchez and Ranger Suárez and, especially, shortstop Trea Turner. They were left off the National League All-Star team despite presenting fine bodies of work through the first half of the season.

On Sunday, USA Today insider Bob Nightengale asserted his belief that free agency is going to be extremely lucrative for the 29-year-old Suárez. "Phillies starter Ranger Suarez is having a walk year for the ages," Nightengale wrote. "Check out his last 10 starts:
