Jamie Smith and Harry Brook produce a stunning England fightback but India remain in a dominant position at the end of the third day of the second Test.

Mohammed Siraj removed Joe Root and Ben Stokes in successive balls before England counterattacked through Harry Brook and century-maker Jamie Smith to reach 249-5 at lunch on Day 3 of the second test against India on Friday.

England were bowled out for 407 in the first innings to trail India by 180 runs on day three of the second test at Edgbaston, where Jamie Smith was stranded on 184 not out while Harry Brook scored 158.
