MAYNARD, ZAKK, TRUJILLO and more to honor OZZY at Rock Hall induction
A new promo from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame confirms that a number of musicians will be on-site at the live induction ceremony on October 19 th to celebrate Osbourne’s storied career as a solo artist (he’d already been inducted into the Hall in 2006 as part of Black Sabbath).

The Black Sabbath vocalist has told Rolling Stone that he’ll be inducted into the Rock Hall at the ceremony on October 19 by actor and musician Jack Black. Furthermore, Billy Idol, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and country star Jelly Roll will sing in a star-studded tribute band to the metal legend.

The tribute’s rhythm section consists of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, who was a member of Osbourne’s band from 1996 through 2003, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. “The rhythm section is the anchor of the band,” Osbourne says, “and you honestly couldn’t get a better rhythm section than Robert Trujillo and Chad Smith.”

Big Names Set For Ozzy Osbourne Rock Hall Tribute
Many of the contributors have previously performed and recorded with or served in the backing bands of the 75-year-old Osbourne. Watt produced the artist’s most recent studio albums, Ordinary Man and Patient Number 9, which featured Wylde, Smith and Trujillo. Other participants such as Jelly Roll have long named him as a key influence.
