A woman was killed, while a child and a man are in the hospital in what is believed to be a road rage crash on Saturday in Santa Rosa, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to the CHP, the Mazda rammed the Volkswagen, which sent the vehicle into the oncoming lane, where its right side was struck by a northbound Mercedes, just south of the Rohnert Park Expressway. The front passenger in the Volkswagen, a woman, was pronounced dead at the crash site, officials said.

One fatality is being reported in connection with a multi-vehicle crash at Rohnert Park Expressway and Stony Point Road. Several people involved with the crash have been transported to area hospitals. The 2:04 p.m. crash involved at least three vehicles, according to the CHP’s traffic incident log.
