A 70-year-old man died following a “firework incident” in the Bay State on the Fourth of July, according to officials. The deadly fireworks incident was reported in Wareham.

While July 4th can be a joyful time for humans, it can be a weekend of terror for some dogs. The days leading up to the holiday, and the week that follows, can be an especially busy time for volunteers at Missing Dogs Massachusetts.

The minimum age to buy fireworks in Missouri is 14, and in four states: Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota and Oklahoma, 12-year-olds are allowed to purchase fireworks. Nevada, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Wisconsin and Wyoming have no age restrictions, but local ordinances usually require that an adult (over 18) be present.
