The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said the FTC made a procedural error in its related cost analysis.

The Federal Trade Commission’s click-to-cancel rule was set to take effect next week, and would have required everything from your gym membership to Amazon Prime subscription to let customers cancel their recurring payments as easily as they signed up, and through the same method.

The FTC’s "click-to-cancel" rule would have required companies to make canceling a subscription as simple as signing up. But a federal appeals court blocked the policy days before it could take effect.
